Kakulandala Vithanage Janitha Koshalee (published as Koshalee Kakulandala) is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Kelaniya and a doctoral candidate at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her PhD research examines the socioreligious narratives depicted in Southern Buddhist paintings in Sri Lanka. With over 15 years of expertise, she specialises in Buddhist art, ancient dance traditions, and decolonising archaeological historiography. An alumna of Kelaniya with an MPhil and First-Class Honours, she is a member of the Sri Lanka Council of Archaeologists, dedicated to critical scholarship at the intersection of material culture and the visual arts.
