W. A. T. T. Wijesuriya holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Tourism and Cultural Resource Management from the University of Kelaniya. Her academic background also includes Chinese language studies, as well as introductory courses in French and Chinese during her foundational year. Her research interests lie at the intersection of archaeology, cultural heritage, and tourism management, with particular emphasis on heritage interpretation, destination image formation, and the role of digital media in tourism.
